Northern Okinawa Day Trip — Cape Manzamo, Churaumi Aquarium & Kouri Island
The classic northern day trip of an Okinawa road trip. Drive up the west coast for cliff views, the aquarium and the bridge out to Kouri Island. It starts and ends in Naha, so expect a long day behind the wheel.

A coastal viewpoint famous for its elephant-trunk-shaped cliff. A good first stop on the way north.

Famous for the huge "Kuroshio Sea" tank with whale sharks. Allow a good 2–3 hours.

Driving tips
- Take the Okinawa Expressway north from Naha to save a lot of time. Michi-no-Eki Kyoda is right by the Kyoda IC at its end.
- There are fewer gas stations in the north than around Naha. Fill up before you set off.
- Route 58 back into Naha gets congested in the evening. If you have a fixed return time, come back on the expressway.
