Estimated tolls use the NEXCO standard-section formula (¥150 + ¥24.6/km incl. tax, with long-distance discounts) for weekday ETC rates. Special rates (urban sections, long tunnels) and weekend/holiday discounts (30% on rural sections) are not included, so actual tolls may differ.

Who can buy it?
- Foreign visitors with a non-Japanese passport (or Japanese citizens with permanent residency abroad)
- A valid driver’s license and an International Driving Permit
- Your passport and license are checked at purchase
How do I buy it?
- When booking your rental car, request an ETC card and the expressway pass (only at rental offices that handle the pass)
- Unlimited ETC use of expressways in the covered area for the chosen number of days
- The period cannot be extended once started
Discontinued passes
The nationwide Japan Expressway Pass (JEP) and the Central Nippon Expressway Pass (CEP) are no longer sold. Okinawa has no expressway pass for foreign visitors.
